Teaching Assistant - Slough


We are working alongside a wonderful secondary school located in the Slough area who are looking to hire a Teaching Assistant.

The role of the Teaching Assistant is a full time role to start immediately.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with both mainstream and SEN children of a secondary age.

As a Teaching Assistant will need to provide support to students with Additional Needs and those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) as well as working with individual students, small groups and support in whole classes within an agreed system of supervision under the direction of the SENDCO and SEND Hub Manager, differentiating tasks as required.

The Role:


  • Teaching Assistant supporting children with a range of SEN across different year groups
  • To provide support to students with Additional Needs and those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • To work with individual students, small groups and support in whole classes within an agreed system of supervision under the direction of the SENDCO and SEND Hub Manager, differentiating tasks as required
  • To support/organise the implementation of educational initiatives
  • Teaching Assistant to work with children across the secondary classes

Requirements:


  • Previous experience with SEN either in a previous role or any personal experience would be ideal for this role as a Teaching Assistant
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is ideal though not essential
  • Have a good understanding of the key skills and traits required to be a great Teaching Assistant
  • Be able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm
  • Either live in Slough or within a commutable distance

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
