Description

Operating as a liaison between the Application service leads and programme managers strong negotiating skills will be a must, as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and demands.


  • Delivery of identified Application team activities
  • Providing reports and feedback to appropriate management.
  • Daily and scheduled tasks
  • Overseeing and delivery of patches or bug fixes
  • Application configuration, testing & training
  • Application support, maintenance and alerting
  • Highly complex issue or problem resolution
  • Incident and problem management
  • Root cause analysis
  • Stakeholder management

Leadership

  • Provide visible operational leadership and promote continual improvement in quality, performance and delivery of Trust objectives.
  • Lead, manage and motivate staff within the Application Team to deliver and improve services.
  • Prioritise workload for the Application Team as required to meet business needs and customer requirements.
  • Accountable for the development of specialist training materials and documentation for the training of own team members and other members of the IT Department as appropriate.
  • Provide support to the Project and Operations teams when required.
Service Delivery and Improvement

  • Work collaboratively with the Application Team Manager, the IT Leadership Team or other colleagues to ensure that service delivery and improvement plans are developed, implemented and reviewed.
  • Ensure that service delivery standards are achieved.
