Tru Talent are delighted to be working with one of the leading UK based Airports who are looking for
Passenger Assistance Agent to help within the terminal throughout the summer season.


Job Summary


To provide all necessary help and support to passengers requiring special assistance as required by our customer airlines which may include and other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities needed for the Passenger Assistance Agent:

  • Assist passengers as needed with special requirements It is understood that Special Assistance means any person whose mobility is reduced due physical incapacity (sensory or locomotory), an intellectual deficiency, age, illness, or any other cause of disabilitywhen using transport and whose situation needs special attention, including the bespoke adaptation of a person's needs in respect of the services provided to all passengers.
  • Such as persons with reduced mobility (PRM), hidden disabilities, illness, age or any other cause of disability,
  • To ensure that the Special Assistance service requests are conducted in a compliant, professional and courteous manner ,in accordance with customer/passenger' wishes with safety and passenger dignity maintained at all times and that the use of specialisedequipment is carried out as trained and in accordance with airport regulations and any other applicable legislation.
  • The scope of our provision is to aid from point of surface arrival at Bournemouth Airport to aircraft seat and aircraft seat to onward travel. The Special Assistance Set down and pickup points will include forecourts, shortterm, longterm and disabledcar parks, bus/coach stops, and taxi stands.
  • To act as the primary Customer interface when a Passenger requiring special assistance is in our care
  • Ensuring they are handled in a safe, compliant and customer friendly manner
  • Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and quarantine as required
  • Comply with all UK/Ireland/EU legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements
  • Comply with BIA Handling Ltd Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Operate computers and specialist equipment such as airline specific software
  • Produce workrelated documentation when required
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety and security always
  • Aircraft Cleaning
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and experience needed for the Passenger Assistance Agent:

  • Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather if required
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently
