LS-TEN are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team.
As part of the school leadership team your role will be to:

  • Support the Head of School to determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision.
  • Be responsible for daytoday operation of the SEN policy and coordination of specific provision to support individuals with SEN or disability.
  • Identified as the designated teacher.

Already experienced in an SEN environment, you will be forward thinking, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, be motivated by supporting families and helping every child to reach their potential.


Reporting to the Head of School, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate SEN pupil records, the school SEN provision map and SEN Policy as well as the management of the provision for pupils with SEND, particularly for those who have EHC Plans.

Duties will include allocating dedicated and targeted support, using the graduated approach for pupils, creating, and collating relevant PEP paperwork, leading and/or contributing to PEP meetings with wider professionals, contributing to EHC plans and creating and overseeing targeted support; See full Job Description.


Education staff are contracted to 46.6 weeks a year with whole departments shut down during periods of the year. Term time plus 10 days.

Salary:
£28,500.00-£33,000.00 per year
