Roles and Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
- Record all invoices and payments received daily/ supplier reconciliations
- Build relationships with key supplier finance teams
- Check expenses comply to policy and record
- Assist Head of finance in recommending payments
- Control and administer purchase orders and expense claims
- Keep filing system up to date
- Check payments are authorised and make payments
- Posting and monitoring petty cash
- Investigating purchase ledger queries
- Assist Head of Finance in developing reports
- Control company credit, debit and charge cards and postings
Sales Ledger
- Reconcile and prepare invoices from Customer service team
- Submit invoices on Invoice Finance Discounting portal
- Check and reconcile Invoice Finance Discounting accounts
- Investigate queries and process corrections
- Post invoices on to Sage as well as on third party portals as required
- Support credit control with queries
- Liaise with operation managers in respect of customer requirements.
- Compile reports as required by Head of Finance
- Prepare refund and credit authorisations for Head of Finance signoff.
Cash Book
- Reconcile/Post bank transactions for various bank accounts
- Investigate any discrepancies and errors
Other
- Verify suppliers through HMRC for CIS status
- Assist Finance Manager in maintaining nominal ledger including accruals, prepayments, WIP and fixed asset schedules
- Assist Finance Manager with any other duties that reasonably come with the role.
