Trust Accountant | Multi Academy Trust | Bedfordshire | £20 - £25 p/h (Flexible)

Macildowie are very excited to be collaborating with a Multi Academy Trust based in Bedfordshire, who are seeking to appoint a permanent Trust Accountant to join the central team.

It's a friendly team to join at a Trust, which is really thriving.

Reporting in to the Finance Director you will play an integral role in affecting this organisation at a strategic level.

This role is offering £20 - £25 p/h (Flexible) and if you are successful during your time there will be a permanent role supporting theTrust.

This role can also done on a part time basis and will run for at least 3 months.

The role

Support the FD in the management of the finance team ensuring skills and experience are commensurate with service to be delivered, and represents value for money.
Lead the preparation and reporting of the monthly management accounts for each academy and the trust. Where areas of concern are identified, these are reported upwards effectively.
Ensuring that financial transactions are appropriately recorded.
To improve the timeliness, accuracy and relevance of the financial management information provided by the team.
Management of the MAT bank reconciliation, ensuring reconciliations are completed on time and approved.
Analysing monthly finance reports and liaising with academy finance managers.
VAT reconciling control accounts and submitting VAT returns
Budget setting and monitoring.

Essential Requirements

Part Qualified
Experience leading monthly management accounts
Good attention to detail.
