The role


An exciting opportunity has arisen to take up this role within the Air Traffic Services department at Newcastle International Airport.


As the Senior Air Traffic Control Officer, you will be an enthusiastic and confident ADI and APS rated SATCO with experience of leading operational teams.


  • You will support the Head of Air Traffic Services in leading the Department;
- be responsible for the operational delivery of the ATCOs and ATSOs;
- communicate effectively with other departments, business partners and the regulator;
- and ensure that Air Traffic Services maintains compliance through effective safety management systems as well as regulatory requirements.


Who we are looking for
You should be highly motivated, flexible and willing to adopt a hard-working, diplomatic & pro-active approach to your work.

You will need to be well-organised, self-motivating and and be able to deliver positive outcomes from a varied and challenging workload.


Shift work, flexibility & communicating clearly and concisely with many different types of people shouldn't be an issue for you.

Experience in ATM Investigations, UCA and/or OJTI would also be an advantage.
