Locum Childcare Lawyer - Predominately Remote Working - £55 per hour Umbrella - West Midlands
Expected duration
:3 months initially with a possible further extension

Duties may include:

Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases to include all preproceedings
Performing own advocacy at CMH Hearings
Advising at LPM and PLO meetings
Advising client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare law
Providing Childcare Public Law advice and undertake all aspects of Care Proceedings work
Attending and advise at meetings attended by professionals, particularly Legal Planning Meetings and PLO meetings and other similar meetings
Conducting advocacy before the Family Courts and instruct counsel and the Council's inhouse advocates where appropriate as well as preparation of cases
Maintaining an awareness of all relevant legislation, policy and regulations related to Childcare matter
Investigating and advising on implications of changing legislation, case law and codes of practice and policy and provide briefing notes and training for colleagues and client officers.

This is a position ideally looking for those who have existing experience of working within Local Government who is able to handle a busy caseload of Childcare matters alongside conducting their own advocacy with professional experience gained within LocalGovernment.

An attractive hourly rate of up to
£55 per hour umbrella is offered for this position dependent on experience.
