Job description
We are looking for a CNC lathe machinist to join our small friendly team

Job description includes:

Set up the CNC lathe machines to produce the required part as per drawing
Take accurate measurements of work pieces and ensure that the quality is good
Working from drawings
Operate the CNC machine and analyse the processes and adjust as required, via Input control instructions into machine
Examine and modify programmes
Set up tools and load materials onto the machine
Prove out processes, producing firstoffs
Responsible for housekeeping of working area
Reporting to manager regarding tooling and material requirements
Setting and operating the machines
The CNC Programmer Setter Operator will be responsible for working various jobs that come in
Programming CNC Turning machines
Completing work logs and time management
Sometimes work on the manual lathe is required

CNC Lead Position Requirements

Precision engineering experience
Our machines are 2 axis machines and therefore experience on these axis machines is highly advantageous
Good knowledge of program editing and Gcodes
Good knowledge of set up and operation
The CNC Programmer Setter Operator needs to have experience in turning
Have a good understanding of Health and Safety
Fanuc experience
Ability to read technical /engineering drawings with a good understanding of tolerances

Any experience on a Doosan Puma 2600 beneficial but not essential

Any experience on a Miyano BNC-42c beneficial but not essential

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Pay:
£14.50-£16.00 per hour
