You'll be supporting multiple Operational Directors who work across the Thames Valley & Thames County regions.

You'll be down to earth, sociable, warm and tactful with a great sense of humour and will be able to work calmly under pressure in a regulated and rapidly changing environment.


Main responsibilities:


  • Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries from internal or external customers, meeting and greeting key stakeholders, processing and replying to sensitive and confidential correspondence
  • Filing and maintaining data in accordance with GDPR, business procedures, the agreed standards and service levels, using companyspecific systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
  • Producing standard reports, preparing papers, presentations and documents for use by the director, their team or department, ensuring stakeholders are prepared in advance
  • Organising meetings, events and departmental activities, taking minutes and recording actions where appropriate as well as arranging travel and booking venues as required
  • Skilful, intuitive and practical diary management to maximise the team's time
  • Processing directors travel and expense claims
  • Raising and processing POs as required and ensure approvals and director authorisations are dealt with in a timely manner
  • A flexible approach to support when needed
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative and committed working environment, building respect and trust amongst colleagues
  • Building on your existing network of stakeholder EA's and PA's as relationships are key to this role

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Have proven success at a senior level in a similar role, ideally within a highly regulated environment
  • Be loyal and trustworthy with a friendly, sociable approach, expressing a passion for Thames Water's Purpose, Values and Behaviours
  • Ability to keep calm, while adapting and responding to change and events which are inevitable in an operational business
  • Be highly organised with a professional, agile and diligent nature
  • Able to understand the needs of our customers, handling situations in a sensitive way
  • Able to offer solutions with a natural problemsolving mentality
  • Have excellent grammar and attention to detail
  • Able to show initiative with a desire for change and making a difference
  • Possess a positive outlook and optimistic disposition
  • Knowledge of social media with the ability to respond to messages where needed
