Software Developer

Full time permanent role

Mon-Fri - office hours

Burgess Hill office base - plenty of free parking on site and close to mainline railway station

Salary:
£40000 per year plus good company benefits

We are very pleased to be working alongside our established, professional and specialised client as they seek to recruit a software developer on a full time permanent basis to join their friendly team in Burgess Hill.

This is an excellent opportunity tojoin a successful and specialist business.

The role:

The Software Developer role consists of day-to-day maintenance of the customer database and in-house software development, enabling creation and improvement of internal and customer-facing systems that meet the exact needs of the business.

This will includeongoing development of the companies comprehensive CRM system and a sophisticated business analytics package.

Education and qualifications required:

Educated to degree level or equivalent in computer systems and software development, or similar level STEM based degree

Skills and knowledge required:

General PC administration on workgroup and domain environments -
Essential
Proven skills and experience of software development essential, preferably using one or more of the desired technologies below -
Essential
Experience in the following software technologies: Linux (Centos, Debian, etc.), PHP, JavaScript, SQL databases - Desirable

Administration of MS Windows and Apple Mac computers - Desirable

Administration and customisation of SugarCRM or similar Customer Management database front-end - Desirable

Development and customisation of SugarCRM or similar Customer Management database through coding - Desirable

Experience with IDEs (integrated development environments) such as JetBrains PHPStorm - Desirable

Competencies / abilities:

Be able to learn new skills and build on existing skills through "on the job" experience -

Work cautiously with sensitive data while ensuring data integrity is protected at all times -

Be able to analyse and break down complex problems into manageable parts -

Proven track record of relevant experience in systems and software development - Desirable
