Purpose:
To install tools and ancillary equipment and carry out condition setting operations to achieve product specifications for quality and output requirements.
Main Areas of Responsibilities:
- Remove tools from machines as required.
- Carry out clean down procedures.
- Install tools and ancillary equipment and prepare for operations.
- Carry out Condition Setting procedures to stated performance and product specifications.
- Carry out Daily Guard Inspections and record the outcome.
- Make ongoing machine setting adjustments as necessary to achieve quality and output standards.
- Carry out the role of other team members as required.
- Work with the Lead Setter and team members to identify specific team and work area problems and assist in implementation of improvement plans.
- Communicate with the other team members of the area on performance, problems, or improvement areas.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Working towards or have achieved NVQ level 3 Tool Setting or above.
- Must have completed basic introduction to injection moulding or equivalent.
- Completed a recognised tool hanger course.
- Completed tool slinging and tool lifting course.
- Basic knowledge of various moulding materials including masterbatch & liquid colours.
There are 2 posts available:_
- _
1 x part-time with a minimum of 24 hours to be worked over weekends only. Additional days and hours of work are negotiable. This role has a start date of January 2024._
- _
1 x full-time (40 hours per week) working on a 3-shift rotation of days (6am-2pm), nights (10pm-6am) and afters (2pm-10pm). This role has a start date of March 2024._
