We are delighted to advertise this training opportunity, which provides automatic progression to a full-time, permanent Environmental Health Practioner position within our Food Safety and Standards Team.

Automatic progression can be achieved for EH Students on obtaining your degree and EH Graduates on successfully completing a programme of practical training, evidence portfolio and professional interview to register with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).

Environmental Health Student:Grade 5 - £24,294 - £25,545 pro rata (£ £13.24 per hour, pro rata)

As an Environmental Health Student, you are likely to be in full or part-time education.

The hourly rate range quoted above will be paid on a pro rata basis, during any placements with our Service, for example, when working to support your studies during University holidays or for part-time students, when not attending college, virtually or otherwise.


This opportunity will enable you to gain valuable and practical work experience, and to get a head start on completing the associated evidence portfolio, while generating some income while you continue your Environmental Health studies.


Our training contract is designed to be mutually beneficial, supporting continuity and stability, whilst setting you on a solid path towards a successful career in Environmental Health.

Environmental Health Graduate:Grade 6 - £25,979 - £28,770 pro rata
(£ £14.91 per hour, pro rata)


Career Progression:

Upon successful completion of your Environmental Health Degree and completing a programme of training to achieve professional status as a Registered Environmental Health Practitioner, you will progress to the role of Environmental Health Practitioner within our Food Safety and Standards Team.
