Experienced Commercial Property Lawyer

South Yorkshire

QED Legal are working with a small regional/high street practice who are looking for a commercial property lawyer to join their busy team.

The firm have several offices in South Yorkshire and are open minded as to where the right applicant is based.

This is an exciting opportunity where there is a genuine path to partnership for those looking to take the next step in their career.

The role is in essence a succession planning one.

The existing head of department will eventually be winding down and has amassed a book of regular, repeat clients over his 30 years of working within the firm, and they are looking for someone to come in a takeover that caseload over time.

The caseload is mainly local and regional clients and the work covers the full spectrum of commercial property work from landlord and tenant matters, sales and acquisitions, agricultural work etc.

The practice is a friendly and relaxed place to work.

There is a true work-life balance here with the firm encouraging hybrid working (which is flexible to the individual based on their preferences and experience), and a low turnover of staff.

Ideally the right person will have at least 3 years' experience of running their own caseload of matters, with more experienced lawyers having the potential to head up the team over time.

This role will be perfect for those in a similar sized firm looking to make the next step or those in a bigger practice wanting good, consistent work, with a life outside of the office too.

Whilst the firm cannot pay big national and city centre salaries they will pay between circa £35k-£50k depending on experience + an attractive bonus scheme and other benefits.
