    Description

    Job Title: Yard Person / Valeter

    Our client, a well-established firm based in the outskirts of Melton Mowbray, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Yard Person / Valeter.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Cleaning and Valeting Vehicles: Ensure all vehicles are cleaned and valeted, ready for rent at all times.
    • Maintenance of Lubricants and Fluids: Maintain lubricants, water, and other fluids in all vehicles.
    • Minor Damage Repairs: Repair minor damage on each vehicle by replacing external parts.
    • Equipment Checks: Check and ensure all equipment is in full working order on each vehicle.
    • Yard Operations: Assist in operating effective yard processes, including moving vehicles within the yard.
    • Truck Wash Operations: Operate the truck wash as required.
    • Yard Environment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe yard environment.

    Requirements

    • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills are essential.
    • Licenses: A driving license and HGV Class C license (an advantage).
    • Knowledge: Knowledge of commercial vehicles is necessary.
    • Additional Tasks: Be willing to carry out any other reasonable tasks as required.
    • Honesty and Openness: Be honest and open in your work.

    Note: Salary negotiable based on experience.
