Description

A Horizon Europe funded Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available at the Department of Eye and Vision Sciences and the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS) at the University of Liverpool.

You will join an ambitious EU-wide collaboration (


TARGET:
Health virtual twins for the personalised management of stroke related to atrial fibrillation) developing novel AI-powered diagnostic tools to support the managements of patients with stroke.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment at the interface of AI, machine learning, computational healthcare, and clinical translation.

You will join Professor Yalin Zheng¿s group working on the development of AI and machine learning algorithms and have significant scope to develop your own research ideas within the LCCS over the duration of the position.

You will also be given the opportunity to contribute to teaching and engage with career development opportunities.

You should have a PhD (or be about to obtain) in areas relevant to this post (e.g. computer science, engineering, statistics, and mathematics etc.)


Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.

Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.

The post is available for 36 months with an expected start date of 1 July 2024.
