Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support.

The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024.

When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

As an Organisational learning Lead, you'll be the focal point for organisational learning within the Sizewell C project organisation.

The position is the champion for organisational learning who will manage the Insight database and positively drive a learning and improvement culture across the organisation, defining and meeting the requirements for Site Licence compliance.

Do you want to become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and focal point for organisational learning and continuous improvement across the breadth of our organisation, championing our learning and improvement culture?


At Sizewell C we're looking for an Organisational Learning Lead to join our Performance Improvement Function and support in defining our policies, strategies, procedures and tools that ultimately contribute and drive forwards our learning and improvement culture.

You'll work closely with all colleagues across the Sizewell C project, developing best practice approaches whilst maintaining the required levels of compliance defined by various legislation, policies and procedures.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home.

We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.


The Role

:


We are looking for someone to champion organisational learning and improvement across the project organisation and supply chain, promoting the required organisational culture.


You'll work closely with all areas of the project to facilitate improvements to the organisational learning process, liaising with company-wide representatives to develop best practice approaches and maintain compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.


You'll also review and develop project processes for learning, improvement and non-conformance in line with international standards, company requirements and best practice.


The role will allow you to undertake regular review of the learning and improvement data, providing reports, analysis and recommendations.


As the Organisational Learning Lead, you'll work closely with all areas of Sizewell C to facilitate improvements to the organisational learning process, liaising with company-wide representatives to develop best practice approaches whilst maintaining compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.


It'll also be your responsibility to manage our organisational learning data recording and management system (Insight), proactively seeking ways to improve our database, procedures and systems.


You'll regularly review all relevant data, providing reports, analysis and recommendations, as well as the developing trending & statistical data that'll be shared organisation wide.

The material you produce will be engaging and easily digestible across Sizewell C.


You'll identify learning opportunities outside of Sizewell C, establishing and maintaining arrangements/relationships to acquire that learning (OPEX) and integrate into our own processes and procedures to drive forwards our learning and improvement culture.


The Skills

:

It would be great if you have experience of working in a high hazard industry.


You'll bring your experience in positively promoting organisational learning and improvement across a large, complex major project organisation over multiple locations and embracing remote working.

You will be able demonstrate previous experience with analysis of data, preparing reports and making recommendations.

Knowledge of communicating with regulatory agencies is desirable.

You'll work innovatively and think laterally to assure our organisational learning processes are efficient and effective.

You'll bring your experience of positively promoting organisational learning and improvement across, ideally a large, complex major project over multiple locations embracing remote working.
