Job Description Summary


Agency is responsible for the management of the relationship between a borrower and a syndicate of lending institutions covering complex loan facilities.

Often secured in multiple jurisdictions, the role provides an opportunity to work with high profile internal and external partners to deliver for our clients.

We're mandated as Agent or Security Agent on more than 300 syndicated loan agreements which cover the following sectors:

  • Corporate Real Estate
  • Acquisition Finance
  • Trade
  • Corporate
  • Project Finance
  • Financial Institutions

We're looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who wants to be part of a team focused on providing a market-leading offering.

You'll lead a team working on syndicated deals, involving regular liaison with portfolio clients, syndicate lenders and third-party professionals. The role includes line management responsibilities.


The role will bring you into contact with a wide range of key partners at all levels - including various internal functions, participant banks, external advisers (lawyers, accountants and technical advisers) and clients.

As part of this, you'll be able to build a strong network across Commercial Banking, enhancing future career prospects.


Agency is in the process of building up our capability to perform roles across a number of Trade ECA products (Including, but not limited to, Buyer Credit, Direct Lending and EDG).

This role will include responsibility for such roles and will require ongoing close collaboration with our colleagues in Trade to build and maintain this offering.

Capabilities- Leadership skills across colleagues of various levels, able to influence and uses judgement to make decisions. Strong interpersonal skills to successfully manage clients, direct reports and co-ordinate internal / external relationships.- Demonstrate high level of confidence working with and interpreting Loan Market Association documentation- Knowledge and experience of syndicated loan market and/or Trade- Excellent written and verbal communication across different audiences with a high level of attention to detail- Focused in your approach to work, balancing multiple challenging priorities and contribute to broader team initiatives


You'll work in a dynamic environment and will be a well-organised, flexible individual who can communicate and work collaboratively, enjoys working in a demanding environment, and has the ability to work optimally to timelines.


Previous knowledge of loan operations, credit and facility documentation and an understanding of the role of Facility Agent and Security Trustee would be advantageous.


Agency will create an excellent opportunity for the right individual to build an attractive set of technical skills (including a deep understanding of financial documentation and instruments) and improving interpersonal skills (e.g.

negotiation, communication, collaboration and decision making). This role will suit you if you're an ambitious colleague who is keen to make a difference.

A modest element of travel will be required on occasion to support business and client needs.
