Malone Hotel, Belfast, has an incredible opportunity for two passionate Chefs to support the Executive Head Chef with managing kitchen operations across a restaurant, bar, and wider hotel rebrand. The successful candidate will oversee the food offering across the restaurant, bar, and function spaces, building a strong, well-trained team that consistently delivers amazing culinary experiences day in and day out.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Support talent selection for your kitchen team, and ensure the department is adequately staffed and trained.
- Ensure the highest level of guest and employee care at all times, develop a positive working culture within the department, and foster pride in their food.
- Support with purchasing, cleaning and maintenance within the kitchen areas and any other admin required for the department.
- Work alongside the Executive Head Chef and senior team to consistently deliver an impeccable and profitable product.
- Consistently review food offerings in line with industry trends, seasonality and ensure strong use of local produce and suppliers.
- Comply with statutory regulations and ensure the business operates within the law, and ensure your team has all necessary up-to-date qualifications.
- Regularly review guest feedback to improve your product and service.
Essential Criteria:
- At least 2 years' experience at Chef level.
- A proven track record in a hotel environment operating to a 4-star standard is desirable, or knowledge of large-scale functions/events at a minimum.
- Strong people management skills.
- Knowledge of working with financial targets.
- Guest-oriented and service-minded.

- Strong people management skills and ability to support and mentor junior kitchen staff.

- Knowledge of executing large scale functions and events.
- Proven track record as a Chef in a Hotel environment operating to 4-star standard.
