Description
Experienced Customer Service Co-ordinator required for a manufacturing company in Basildon, Essex.The role of Customer Services Co-ordinator supports the Customer Services Manager to ensure all customers are continually updated with order progress informationand issues are resolved as a matter of urgency.
Communication is key, as is a proactive approach to your work and good initiative to overcome difficulties.Key Responsibilities:
- Answering customer enquiries efficiently and/or referring to the appropriate department.
- Processing Sales Orders, requesting project information and gathering an understanding of the customers' expectations for planning and production purposes.
- Providing weekly status reports to specific customers.
- Escalating complaints to Customer Services Manager and each relevant department immediately.
- Booking of couriers, creating Commercial Invoices and completing necessary courier paperwork.
- Arranging collection of faulty goods and obtaining tracking information.
- Meeting and greeting customers/arranging lunches when appropriate.
- Creating Picklists for Stores and arranging hand deliveries.
- Identifying goods and booking in of returns.
- Assessing delivery schedule daily and circulating any concerns/shortages to each relevant department.
- Advising customers of freeissue shortages and rejects.
- Communicating with Production Management daily to ensure that the production schedule runs as smoothly as possible.
- Being proactive in ensuring the highest standard of customer care.
- Covering for the Customer Services Manager during Annual Leave.
Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements
Essential:
- Excellent written communication skills
- Great attention to detail.
- Selfmotivated, with a positive attitude.
- Wellpresented, polite and tactful.
- Good IT and numeracy skills.
- Experience of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Previous office experience.
- Ability to prioritise, and work individually, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Desirable:
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience in the use of ERP/MRP systems
- Knowledge of production scheduling and forecasting.
