Job Purpose
We are small, friendly and professional team looking to recruit school term time bus attendants. You will be working on our school buses between Dargavel, Bishopton to Park Mains High, Erskine. Monday to Friday schooldays for 15 hours per week.

Duties

Maintains safe conditions while traveling by enforcing safety and discipline rules; reporting unruly children to he traffic office; completing incident reports.
Teaches safety procedures by reminding passengers not to cross the road in front of the bus; conducting practice evacuation routes.
Implements emergency plan in the event of an accident by notifying police and/or ambulance service; administering firstaid until help arrives; initiating evacuation plan; comforting children; filing accident report.
Enhances transportation department and school reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

PVG Clearance (company can assist with this).

How does term time pay work?
All Schools in Scotland must schedule 190 school days per school year in line with legislation. 190 Schools days is 38 weeks you will be working out of the 52 weeks of the year.

In order to pay you when the schools are off, we take the annual amount you would be due in the year and divide by 52 weeks.

For example:_

38 Working Weeks + 3 Weeks Holiday Entitlement = 41 Weeks due pay for year.

£10.42 per hour x 15 Hours x 41 Weeks = £6,408

£6408 divided by 52 weeks = £123

So, you would be paid £123 every week (including when schools are on holiday).
