Job Summary:

The Production and Sorting Technician is responsible for both the production and quality sorting of mini vitamin gummies.

This role requires the operation of our bespoke Retail Line machinery, as well as the meticulous inspection and sorting of the final products according to strict quality standards.

This position is pivotal in ensuring both the efficiency of production and the excellence of product quality.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Machine Operation: Operate the Retail Line machinery to produce mini vitamin gummies according to predefined production schedules and specifications. Ensure machines are correctly set up, loaded with raw materials, and running smoothly.
  • Quality Inspection: Inspect gummies for any defects, irregularities, or foreign objects. Identify quality issues such as discoloration or missing layers, ensuring all products meet the required standards.
  • Sorting and Grading: Sort and grade gummies based on quality criteria including shape, size, and color. Separate and categorize gummies into different grades to fulfill quality requirements and standards.
  • Machine Maintenance: Monitor the machinery during operations, adjusting settings as necessary and reporting any issues to maintenance engineers to prevent downtime and ensure continuous production.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production outputs, quality issues, and machine status, ensuring all information is uptodate and entered in a computerised tracking system and available for management review.
  • Adherence to Standards: Comply with all company policies and safety standards to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Working Hours:

Night shifts
  • Monday to Friday
, 22:00 hrs - 06:30 hrs, 40 hours per week


Physical Requirements:


Lifting and Material Handling:
Ability to handle and move heavy ingredients and equipment in line with Manual Handling Regulations. Ability to stand for prolonged periods.


Flexibility and Reach:

Manual dexterity to handle small, detailed products.

Physical strength and stamina to move and manage raw materials and products.


Work Environment:

The role involves working in a fast-paced, production-line environment where adherence to schedules and quality standards is crucial.

Requires both individual focus and team collaboration to achieve production goals and maintain product quality.


Pay:
From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
