Financial Controller

Salary:
£50,000 - c£55,000

Location:
West Hull

This is a great opportunity for a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant to work as Financial Controller and right hand person to the Head of Finance.

The role is based in west Hull and has easy access to the A63 and all areas of Hull, the eastern M62, Beverleyand the wider East Yorkshire villages, the Humber Bridge and North Lincolnshire.

THE ROLE:
Reporting into and working closely with the Head of Finance the successful applicant will take responsibility for the preparation of the Group's reporting including:
Monthly management accounts and variance analysis for submission to both the Group's board of directors and external stakeholders.

Monthly cash forecasting and reporting, annual budget including setting of service level budgets with assistance for local and regional managers and monitoring of those costs.

Annual published statutory financial statements, provide supporting to the wider finance team, manage the Group's IT provision and provide continuous development of systems both in finance and the wider Group.

Deputise for the Head of Finance when required as well as supporting three direct reports and their teams.

Provide continuous improvement of the financial processes and procedures required to support the development of the business including improving internal control process and procedures.

Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the Group's board, providing information to stakeholders, liaise with auditors, bankers and external advisors.

THE CANDIDATE:
You are a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA forward thinking accountant, technically adept and with great people skills. You have a hands on approach and the ability to work proactively to meet deadlines.
