Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of mental health professionals
  • Monitor and document patient behavior, progress, and any changes in condition
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients
  • Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement therapeutic interventions
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and provide input on patient progress
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with healthcare standards

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Empathy and compassion for individuals with mental health conditions
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and handle challenging behaviors
  • Excellent observation skills to monitor patient behavior and identify any changes or concerns
  • Basic knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment approaches
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working in a mental health setting is beneficial but not required
  • CPR certification is preferred but can be obtained upon hire
