We are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our busy, but friendly Gynaecology emergency unit based at our Basildon site

If successful, you will work in multi-disciplinary team within the gynaecology emergency unit to provide a seamless service & high-quality care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

You will undertake care to meet the needs of the patients under the supervision of a qualified nurse, working within the Trust's policies and procedures and the philosophy of the department, working collaboratively as part of the clinic team.

But responsibilities include:

Promote a culture of health and wellbeing though providing information, advice and support for bereaved women.
Chaperone and assist medical and nursing staff in Manual vacuum aspirating (MVA) and vaginal examination
Coordinate clinics ensuring patients are prepared for their appointment and seen as quickly as possible
Taking and recording of temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and pain scores on instruction from the Registered Nurse. Accurately recording the results and reporting significant findings.
