Are you an organised, creative individual with a passion for children's books?Based in London, we publish award-winning children's books for ages 0-13. This exciting and varied role is an excellent opportunity for a Press Officer to join our motivated team.
Reporting to the Publisher, you will liaise with authors, working on publicity campaigns and events across our three imprints, New Frontier, Catch a Star and Little Steps.
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials
- Conduct research and gather information for press releases and media outreach
- Coordinate media relations activities, including pitching stories to journalists
- Assist in organising press conferences, interviews, and other media events
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on media trends and coverage of the organisation
- Manage social media accounts and create engaging content for various platforms
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop communication strategies and campaigns
- Identify and compile media lists appropriate for each book
- Maintain and foster media contacts
Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of social media management tools and strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with key print, online and book contacts
- Experience working with Teams, Jira and Buffer desirable but not essential
- 12 years working in publishing (ideally children's publishing)
Salary:
£25,500.00-£27,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday

Hybrid remote in London
