    Key Account Manager for Primary and Secondary Care

    A seasoned Key Account Manager/Healthcare Partnership Manager is sought by our client to cover the Northeast of England territory.

    The primary objective will be to manage primary and secondary care clients, driving sales in the branded pharmaceutical business through bespoke engagement plans informed by customer data and market insights.

    Candidates must hold ABPI qualification.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Performance:
      • Meet or exceed sales targets as outlined in the plan, requiring regular performance reviews and adjustments to engagement activities based on customer feedback.
      • Contribute significantly to individual sales targets.
    • Customer Management and Planning:
      • Obtain valuable customer insights and create profiles to inform activity and plans.
      • Develop a regional/national Customer Engagement plan utilising environmental data, market insights, and knowledge of influencers to create a bespoke plan aligned with brand strategy, adding value to the customer through shared agendas.
      • Coordinate resources from across the organisation to present a unified front to customers, fostering long-term relationships while meeting short-term revenue objectives.
    • Implementation and Delivery:
      • Oversee the implementation and delivery of the customer engagement plan.
      • Ensure adherence to internal SOPs for managing customer meetings.
    • Market Access:
      • Monitor and adapt to environmental changes; map and manage stakeholders and influencers to ensure prescribers and patients have access to products.
      • Identify and map national/regional service provision and funding processes within the health economy.
      • Lead service improvements and redesigns to optimise prescribing of branded pharmaceuticals.
      • Provide valuable insights to support development of value propositions and marketing assets for achieving market access.
    • Cross-functional Working:
      • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration to inform brand plans, customer engagement plans, and decision-making.
      • Engage internal stakeholders appropriately and utilise resources to deliver optimal value and support achievement of customer engagement plan.

    Requirements

    • Hold ABPI qualification and maintain Code compliance and company standards.
    • Have previous experience working with primary and secondary care.
    • possess a thorough understanding of the healthcare environment, priorities, and networks.
    • Develop high levels of product, competitor, therapy area, and brand strategy knowledge.
    • Demonstrate account management experience and proven commercial sales success within the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Be highly analytical with a preference for working with data.
    • Be comfortable with ambiguity and able to make assumptions based on available data.
    • Be curious and solution-oriented, with excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
    • Be a confident and assertive communicator with the ability to influence others.
    • Be highly computer literate with competence in multiple systems/Sirius and other technology platforms (including MS Office).
    • possess business planning skills, with experience in producing business proposals/cases.
    • Be financially astute with budget management and financial planning skills.

    • This is a full-time, permanent, remote role covering the Northeast of the UK, thus suitable candidates must reside within this area.
