The Marketing, International Businesses and Tourism Department delivers specialist accredited programmes as well as high-quality, executive programmes such as the MSc Place Management.
The Department draws upon academic thinking, cutting-edge research and industry experience to deliver world-class learning to its students, preparing them for the world of work and for further career progression, with learning underpinned by close engagement with professional accreditation bodies and innovative research on business transformation and place management.
The opportunity
As Head of Department, you will usually be a Reader or Professor who is an accomplished and thoughtful leader.
You will have a strong research profile and network along with in-depth experience of achieving excellence in both teaching and research.
Working collaboratively as a member of the Faculty Leadership Team, you will lead an ambitious agenda and ensure that real academic excellence is provided, forging new partnerships, driving innovation and continuing to extend the Department's reach internationally.
A focus on diversity and inclusion sits at the heart of all the Department's activities.
This high-profile appointment will require an individual who will embrace this ethos to drive the Department forward onto the next stage of its journey.
The role is an opportunity for an ambitious, motivated and collaborative leader to play a prominent part in a faculty and university.
