This role will be supporting the Practice Learning Team across two NHS trusts.

The team work with student placements and handle a lot of data and information as well as providing services to students such as issues and receiving laptops.


This role is expected to provide a high quality service to the team and other stakeholders such as internal departments and external agencies such as universities.


The role will be leading on business support and analytics using a variety of data, reports and digital projects and systems to inform service need and identifying upcoming trends.


The post holder will provide IT support for sharing best practice and technical innovations to suggest and improve processes for effective service deliver and reporting.

Supporting the team to utilise information and technology techniques to inform service requirements for all stakeholders involved.

The post holder will establish and lead ways in which IT, data and digital solutions can be utilised to improve business efficiency.

Manage the process, recording and allocation of laptop utilisation for student learners. This requires being at Kingsway (Derby) to be able to undertake this function.

The role will be responsible for undertaking data collection, maintenance and / or refinement of web pages and processes for used for managing information

Reviewing and analysing data in the most effective and efficient way and to inform operational and strategic decision making.


The post holder will provide IT support for sharing and best practice and technical innovations to suggest process improvements for effective service delivery and reporting.

The post holder will be adept at planning and prioritising their workload, using their own judgement with balancing competing deadlines


The post holder will need to be autonomous to manage the expectations of the demands of the role and be able to bring improvements to the teams.

They will also be able to deal with the required routine procedures.


Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.


We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.


During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

To ensure a high standard of provision of a support service to the Practice learning Team including suggestions for the improvement and innovation of existing processes.

To review and analyse existing data to identify areas for service improvement.

Collation and analysis of internal and external information to provide benchmarking data

Work with the Practice Learning Team to constantly improve outputs and proactively identify areas for development.

Lead on the delivery of specific delegated work, coordinating the contributions of the Practice Learning Team

To develop, sustain and review data systems and processes to ensure the delivery of a responsive and efficient service

Review and analyse existing data to identify ongoing trends, highlight areas for improvement and suggest problem solving actions. To escalate trends or issues that may require attention to the People Development Lead.

Propose possible developments and enhancements to practice, processes and procedures supporting implementation to improve function

To contribute to the evaluation of the service through use of audits and outcome measures

Undertake reviews of administration processes to inform ongoing improvements and developments to systems
