Purchasing Assistant


Salary:
£25,000 - £32,000 per annum


Location:
Hitchin


Contract:
Permanent


Hours:
Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 16.45pm


COMPANY PROFILE:

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience within a Purchasing Assistant role
  • Strong administration experience
  • Experience with stock control and planning
  • Professional communicator on all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Teamplayer with a strong work ethic
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages and CRM systems
  • Organised, efficient and selfmotivated

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the planning department with data input
  • Reviewing stock levels and supporting stock control
  • Assisting the Buyer with sourcing and purchasing of products
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers
  • Chase outstanding purchase orders
  • Preparing for production meetings
  • Support the order fulfilment department
  • Utilise Excel reports to keep orders updated
