Pharmacy dispensers work as part of a pharmacy team under the direction of a registered community pharmacistThe work includes:
Responsibilities and Duties
- taking in and handing out prescriptions
- dispensing prescriptions on a daily basis
- using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels as well as re-order stock
- receiving, unpacking and checking deliveries from suppliers
- selling over-the-counter medicines and advise patients
- answering customers questions face to face or by phone
- pre-packing, assembling and labelling medicines
- preparing medicines
- referring problems or queries to the pharmacist
- Cleaning pharmacy and stock date checking all products
- Cashing up till on a daily basis
Qualifications and Skills
1 years community pharmacy experience is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and autonomously
Desired Skills:
- A desire to progress within the pharmaceutical industry
Hours of Work
- minimum of 24 hours per week
- will be 2-3 days per week
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time
Salary:
£10.50-£11.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Experience:
- pharmacy dispenser: 1 year (required)
