Description

The role will involve working in a busy centralised accounts department of 5 people operating a multi company accounts function.

Main Duties and Requirements will include the following

Daily Uploading of Company Bank Receipts - to include Cheques, Standing Orders incoming PDQ and Virtual Terminal transactions

Daily Uploading of Company Bank Payments - BACS, Cheques and Direct Debits

Possess the ability to complete the full process when working on Sales and Purchase Ledger from start to finish.

This is to include all allocations of the above and liaising with both internal and external parties directly on any queries resulting.

Complete Bank Reconciliations.

Supplier Statement and Customer Remittance reconciliation and dealing directly with queries resulting in a proactive manner.

Assist other Accounts Assistants with similar tasks above.

Be responsible for the Company Energy Accounts
- including multi-site reading collection, portal logging, and subsequent reconciliation and posting of received invoices.

Ability to interpret and propose contra agreements with Suppliers in multi-currency.

Assist Senior Accounts Clerk on a monthly basis with collation of Intercompany Charges in a timely manner.

Ability to check and process Expense and Mileage Claims from Staff.

Assist Senior Accounts Clerk with other ad hoc tasks as necessitated by the needs of the department.


Must possess ability to work to deadlines on both a daily, weekly and monthly basis whilst also working to a high degree of accuracy.

Must be able to prioritize and manage own workload.

Must possess an advanced level of Excel ability.

Must have minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience previously in a rounded Accounts Department role.

Ideally have completed at Least AAT Level 2.

External Accountancy training may also be available alongside the role in due course.
