Automotive Technical Advisor, you'll play a key part to our success and join us on this exciting motoring journey.


This is the job:


Joining the AA as a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a key role in coordinating and resolving technical queries in an efficient and timely manner.

Within this role you will be expected to provide technical advice to customers, Team Members and our garage network.


What will I be doing?:


  • Understanding and diagnosing of technical mechanical problems and translating findings to customers
  • Communicate effectively with technical suppliers and customers
  • Audit quotes ensuring delivery time, price, and quality adhere to documented process and procedures.
  • Managing technical interfaces with stakeholders including garage dealers, customers, and network garages.
  • Build effective relations with part suppliers and garages to obtain best quotes for customers
  • Ensuring recommended works are required and positioned into the correct repairer
  • Support the management of escalated technical complaints
  • Create, and file accurate technical reports as required
  • Use a range of inhouse and external electronic interfaces to order parts and information databases to obtain technical work times.

What do I need?:


Capability, Knowledge and Experience:


  • Proven track record of vehicle maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work within a target orientated environment
  • Experience of complaint handling

Education and Qualifications:


  • Mechanical (Automotive) at least a NVQ level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification.
