We have an exciting opportunity to join the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (Nuclear AMRC), part of the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Group, as a Project Coordinator.

We are looking for someone with significant project support and coordination experience, preferably in the field of Engineering, Research or Innovation to join our projects and programme management team at our Rotherham offices.

You should be interested in developing over time and with training to become a Project Manager.


For this role, you will need very strong project support experience especially within large portfolios of work spanning multiple projects.

The ability to work under pressure, be well organised and time efficient will be crucial. Your work will require you to work directly with technical specialists across our technical groups.

It is therefore key that as well as having a high standard of project support experience you have a genuine interest in leading edge engineering technologies.


You will:


  • Have some knowledge of Project Management, with preferably related work experience.
  • Have good IT skills, in addition to the Microsoft Office suite and a good level of competency in Microsoft Project.
  • Have some knowledge in project methodology and a range of techniques to ensure the project is successful.
  • Have strong communication skills allied with organisational ability and enthusiasm which is key when discussing elements of a project to partners, customers and internal stakeholders.
