A lovely 1-form-entry school in Camden are looking for an experienced SEND TA to join their school to support two children with SEND.

The role

In this role you will be supporting two children each day with your day split into two halves.

You will be providing the two children with support in the classroom and leading individualised interventions and personalised learning activities for them.

1:1 with boy in Reception with ASD. The child follows an individual programme for some of the day (using an ABA approach). He is verbal but communication needs to be prompted. He is working below the level of his peers in all areas. He is able to follow instructions and routines well. Training in using his ABA programme will be provided one morning a week by the school until you feel confident with using this approach.

1:1 with a girl in Year 5. She is working at Reception level and also follow an individual programme (based in the classroom). She is verbal but need prompting to communicate verbally and mainly uses one word responses. She is able to follow her programme well and has good attention to tasks she knows how to do.


As noted above, training will be provided within the role and you will be provided with support from another Teaching Assistant who already supports both children.

The school are only able to offer this position to an SEND Teaching Assistant with extensive experience in SEND.
