Reed Accountancy in Oxford are excited to be working with a fantastic, growing company based on the outskirts of Kidlington & Oxford to help source an enthusiastic and engaging Management Accountant to join their close knit, outgoing finance function.

Thisnewly created role offers a salary of up to £45,000 per annum (based on experience), 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays), study support, flexible & hybrid working (with one or two days in the office, excellent pension, private medical insurance, careerprogression and free onsite parking.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management
  • Responsible for all journals and GL balances including preparation and review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and legislation
  • Ensure relevant and timely information is provided to HQ including variance analysis, and commentary
  • Play an active part in the monthly review meetings with the Financial Controller, CFO and CEO
  • Support the CFO in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans
  • Monitor and review performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances to operational management and UKHQ
  • Assist the FC and CFO by undertaking the documentation, review and control of internal controls covering financial, operational and compliance controls
  • Play an active role in assisting management in the risk assessment process and embedding a risk management culture
  • Identify and evaluate areas for improvement of profit with particular regard to cost reductions and methodology
  • Work closely with the FC and CFO and I.T. to ensure users have access to the key components of the system, receive adequate training and have the essential reports available to facilitate decision making
  • Liaise with different departments to ensure the finance department is properly supporting the needs of the operating business
  • Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, bankers and other parties as directed by the CFO and the Group CFO
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified accounts individual or someone with similar experience.

You will be familiar the entire month end process, budgeting and forecasting and be comfortable communicating with finance and nonfinance people alike, as well as having experience on a number of finance systems and Excel.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a flexible work approach. Personality is a must for this role, so you will be comfortable workingin a small, close knit team. Finally you will have an excellent eye for detail in your work.
