Reed Finance are pleased to be assisting our client in their search for a Financial Reporting/Treasury Accountant on a fixed term contract basis.

The role will last 12 months and will play a pivotal part in the business.
Whilst the organisation is basedin the Braintree area, this role offers true agile working and will be predominantly remote.


Playing a key role in business planning, this role will provide short, medium and long term forecasting whilst adhering to financial regulations and treasury management policy.


A few key responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for the cash management function, including daily cash position review, transfers, account funding and the maintenance of adequate liquidity for working capital needs.
  • Production of short, medium and long term cashflow forecasts, confirming accuracy and ensuring appropriate action is taken to maintain adequate cash liquidity positions.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and treasury management policy with regard to deposits and counterparty exposures.
  • Be pivotal in the annual business planning process, collating, validating and preparing the longterm plan. Provide analytical insight into proposed stress testing outputs for review by the senior executives and Board.
  • Operation of the internal, medium term business plan, adjusting for forecast outturn, key operational developments and in response to development appraisals. You will ensure that potential issues are identified, and by considering consequences and risks,recommend corrective action to the executive team.
  • Responsible for the compilation and submission of the annual Financial Forecast Return to the industry regulator.

A few requirements in order to be considered:

  • Relevant senior finance experience
  • fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA
  • Minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience within a similar role
  • Experience within the housing sector would be hugely advantageous, although third sector experience would be considered
  • Proven track record in treasury management, business planning and cashflow modelling.
  • Ability to build strong, working relationships across the business
  • Advanced Excel skills
