Our Marketing and Operations teams are at the heart of ITV Studios, ensuring our brands and shows get primary consideration and our customers receive assets that enable them to promote and merchandise the shows they licence from ITV Studios.


The role


The Junior Designer role works across the 2 teams to source imagery and create brilliant, engaging TV programme artwork to service deals and customers that buy shows for their streaming service.

For Marketing, the role also supports colleagues in our Social Studio (creating and resizing social media artwork), our Content and Brand teams (supporting with pitch materials creation, and basic artwork requirements) and our Direct to Consumer team (DTC) with banner ads, logos and campaign assets.

Servicing FAST (Free Ad Supported TV) channels and streaming services:

  • Source, create and deliver a variety of programme artwork for delivery to global streaming platforms and FAST Channels.
  • Produce bespoke programme artwork to create the right emotional response, drive viewing and to understand how different audiences engage with imagery online (such as personalised images for different audiences).
  • Use basic assets including photography, logos, key art and style guides to develop artwork according to specs which may require resizing, redrawing and other contractual requirements, before sending to customers or internal teams.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with a variety of teams within Global Partnerships and Content Operations such as Client Services & Fulfilment, Asset Acquisitions, Marketing, Sales and Business Development.
  • Proactively manage the volume of work, priorities and deadlines to ensure customer artwork is sent in advance of the required deadline.
  • Use knowledge and understanding of image rights to ensure that all images are cleared for usage, adhere to image embargoes, and final assets are approved by relevant teams.
  • Manage, deliver and archive imagery at an appropriate location and accompanied by an agreed standard image metadata profile.
  • Continually test and monitor the efficacy of artwork produced against objectives.
  • Upload images into asset management systems according to file conventions. Supporting the Studios Marketing operations
  • Take artworking and basic creative briefs from Content, Brand and DTC (Direct to Consumer) teams including online and onplatform banners, design templates, logo resizing, image resizing and artworking, pitch material creation and internal comms artwork.
Assist in design concepting and delivery of brand assets or campaigns, ensuring quality and visual consistency:

  • As a member of the ITV Studios Social Collective, create social media image assets and design templates for use on the ITVS social pages, and for consumer programme feeds; use style guides to find new ways of creating engaging brand and programme artwork.
  • Builds files to specs and sizes, converts files to different formats for print ready materials_._

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Essential to have a relevant qualification and experience in design/artworking
  • Demonstrable artworking skills, particularly for digital/online, through a portfolio that illustrates an understanding of visual design and image processing, including colour balance, composition, enhancement, etc.
  • Excellent, demonstrable experience with using Adobe products, notably Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

  • Show a methodical approach with attention to detail, a love of design and creative, and able to act quickly and deliver to (occasionally short) deadlines.
  • Able to prioritise a large workload with multiple requests from multiple colleagues.
  • Must show a passion for tv, design and creative.
