Description

An experienced Plumber / Multi-skilled Trader with at least 5 years of experience is needed to join the team at this leading housing, construction, investment, and property lettings company based in Birmingham.

They have a long-established family historyspanning over 80 years.

This is a field-based role covering Birmingham and the West Midlands region.

You will be provided with a company van, an annual salary review, and an excellent salary package.


About the Company


They are a privately run property company with a portfolio comprising mainly studio, one bedroom and two apartments within Birmingham City Centre, the regions of Birmingham, Redditch, Wolverhampton, Swadlincote, and Burton.

The properties that they service include private tenanted apartments, houses and blocks including the communal areas and grounds. (DBS checks required).


Required Skills:


  • Possess a good variety of property maintenance skills as you will be assigned a variety of jobs to attend
  • General maintenance employees are typically Carpenters or Plumbers who can turn their hands to pretty much anything
  • Applicant is expected to be competent and proficient with using a smartphone (provided) to engage with their office systems and fellow employees
  • All jobs will require you to take photos/videos and write a job report on the mobile system
  • The applicant must be able to read and write English to a high standard
  • A full UK driving license is essential
  • The Applicant must be able to provide relevant employment references demonstrating their experience

Key Responsibilities:


  • Advanced plumbing with some Heating knowledge
  • Experience with enclosed toilet cisterns
  • Heating issuesbe able to relay issues to gas engineers
  • Finding leaks / repairing after water damage
  • Working knowledge of hot water systems
  • Sourcing and installing parts/managing stock
  • Simple drainage issues (specialist subcontractors used if appropriate)
  • Installing bathrooms/sanitary ware
  • The ability to carry out general day to day plumbing and heating tasks, including day to day call out work

Required Experience:


  • Applicants must have at least 5 years' experience working in a property maintenance business
  • Plumbing Qualification
  • Plumbing experience in a rental accommodation
  • Up to date relevant industry related knowledge
