One of the leading software providers in a rapidly changing and dynamic industry are looking for an Insurance Business Analyst to join their team.

They develop award winning software that enables their customers to streamline their processes in the managementof claims, policies, billing and rating.


Key responsibilities of the Insurance Business Analyst:

  • You will feed into business analysis requirements from our existing customers, new prospects, as well as internal R&D work.
  • You'll receive on the job training in the solutions we offer, the tools we use and business analysis methods. Working with your manager and mentor, you will develop your own personal development plan to ensure your knowledge and skills continually extend.
  • During the project lifecycle, you'll be involved in diverse activities, ranging from raising & maintaining client requirements via user stories, to hands on product configuration during "Model Office", or Discovery workshops. No two projects are identicaland so you'll gain experience in a variety of skills and will need to be a highly adaptable person, who embraces change readily.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple project teams and support the project technical and BA leads. This may be through assisting with client configuration of our systems, as well as internal configuration for testing and R&D environments. It may also includeassisting with testing, documentation, client demos and screen recording of functionality.
  • You'll report into the Head of Business Analysis and will provide regular updates on your work. You'll have challenging objectives to meet and will be expected to contribute not only to the success of the team, but also to its continuous development. You'llidentify improvements in internal process and work with your colleagues to continually assess & implement best practice.
  • Work with the BA team to keep abreast of developments in the Insurance Market, to ensure they keep pace with our clients changing needs.

Key Skills of the Insurance Business Analyst

  • Insurance knowledge
  • Policy or Claims in Commercial & General Insurance, preferably including at least one of the following: Motor, Household lines of business.
  • Experience of working with customers (which could include policyholders and claimants) or end users in a project or training capacity
  • Experience of Agile methodology, including User Story creation
  • Logical thinker
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
