We seek an inspiring individual to lead MBDA UK's environmental and social sustainability response as part of our ESG agenda


The Head of UK Sustainability and Social Value will be accountable for the development, implementation and delivery of MBDA UK's Sustainability and Social Value programme.

You will refine MBDA UK's future strategy, setting the vision and direction in relationto various themes including; inclusive economic recovery, environmental protection, equal opportunity and community wellbeing, in response to Government policy and Customer requirements


As a senior leader within the UK business you will be an ambassador for Sustainability and Social Value, using your knowledge and passion to drive change throughout the organisation.

You will engage with stakeholders across a number of key business areasincluding HR, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing and Community engagement.

You will also represent MBDA UK at Group level, ensuring alignment with wider Group level Sustainment goals.


As an experienced Sustainability and Social Value professional, you will actively engage with the wider Defence Supplier community, MoD and other key external stakeholders in order to drive the Sustainability agenda within Defence.


What we're looking for from you:

  • Oversee development, implementation and management of MBDA UK Sustainability strategy in line with internal goals and customer requirements
  • Drive overall education of the key stakeholders: employees, suppliers and partners, local communities, and customers
  • Become a catalyst for cultural change by working with teams across the business to educate, facilitate and measure change that improves Sustainability, including ensuring that Sustainability is considered at all stages of projects
  • Drive the collection and analysis of Social, Environmental and Economic Data throughout the business
  • Keep up to date with the Sustainability and Social Value agenda including upcoming national/international policy requirements, and update internal strategy and processes accordingly
  • Work with MBDA Group to ensure alignment of Sustainability initiatives
