Chasestead LTD is a Letchworth based company specializing in Prototypes & Low Volume Production Sheet Metal Pressings, Stampings and Fabrication to the Highest Quality, working in many different sectors.

• Duties include Welding and fabrication in stainless steel, Aluminium, and mild steel material 1.0mm 12mm thickness including pipework.
• The Ability to make assembly weld fixtures.
• MIG welding both sub and main assemblies either on a fabrication JIG or freehand.
• Sanding\Grinding components or assemblies to achieve the stated dimensions and finish.

• The role requires manual lifting so applicants should be fit and able.
• Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
• Significant experience of thin gauge TIG & MIG welding
• Sheet Metal Fabrication experience
• Be able to fabricate Stainless steel, Aluminium and Mild steel.
• The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• City & Guilds Qualifications in welding and fabrication / Apprentice in Engineering would be an advantage.
