London Bridge Hospital is one of the leading cardiovascular centres in the UK.
Here consultants undertake a wide range of cardiac procedures, including the most complex, and provide specialised cardiac investigations using the latest imaging technologies.
We're able to support high risk patients thanks to our Level 3 Intensive Care Units staffed by specialists in cardiac intensive care medicine.
We are looking for dynamic, organised and experienced clinical pharmacist to lead the provision and development of high quality, patient centred clinical pharmacy servicesto all Critical care and Cardiothoracic areas & specialties across the London Bridge Hospital Campus.
You will identify, develop and implement effective solutions to assure the delivery of evidence‐based pharmaceutical care, ensuring a safe, effective pharmacy service.
You will develop and maintain the highest standards of patient‐focused care, supporting safe and effective use of medicines, using experience and initiative to develop the role and assure service provision.
As an active member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team, you will lead medicines related audit processes and participate in quality governance, and assurance of pharmacy services to relevant professional and statutory standards.
You will also oversee clinical development, education and training; ensuring continuous development of members of the Pharmacy and multidisciplinary team.
Working with the other lead clinical leads you will provide leadership for and support the technical team to ensure responsive dispensary services.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- Registered with GPhC
- Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in specialties including cardiovascular & critical care: Essential.
- A least 5 years hospital clinical pharmacy practice experience, including some of above specialties: Essential.
- Post graduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent: Essential
Previous management experience:
desirable
- Philips ICIP knowledge: desirable
- Successfully completed an approved course for nonmedical prescribers: desirable
- Registered with the appropriate healthcare regulator as a non‐medical prescriber: desirable
