If you are looking for a new exciting challenge, we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clerical Assistant to provide administrative duties within the Ophthalmology Department.

You should have a meticulous approach to work and excellent communication skills to support our existing administrative team.

Our Ophthalmology service provides general and specialist Ophthalmology clinics, Orthoptic and Optometry clinics.

At the heart of everything is the patients - and one of the most important aims is to provide the best possible patient experience, the goal of being the best place to receive healthcare, and the best place to work.

Come and join our expanding team within the Ophthalmology Department.


To provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Ophthalmology department, including consultants and supporting teams within the designated specialty area.

To work collaboratively with medical secretarial colleagues to ensure clinical correspondence is produced and distributed within acceptable timescales.

The post holder will carry out his/her duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work.

It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and that confidentiality be maintained at all times.
