Robertson Bell are supporting a commercially-orientated public sector organisation, based in London, to recruit an interim Year End Accountant on an initial six month contract.

This role will be worked on a hybrid basis with 50% of the working week, on average, spent in our clients modern, highly-accessible, offices.

The interim Year End Accountant's key responsibilities will include:

Working in conjuction with the Finanial Controller to prepare the statutory accounts and annual report in a timely and accurate fashion.
Ensuring that the correct reporting sandards are adhered to, including IFRS16 in the organisations first year end following its full implementation.
Acting as a key point of contact for auditors, efficiently dealing with any queries surround the accounts, financial controls and processes.
Maintaining the integrity of the balance sheet through robust reconciliations, and ensuring the relevant financial information is produced at month end.
Be a fully qualified accountant with experience leading or providing extensive support on year end processes, including preperation of the statutory accounts.
Possess strong communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Work both independently and proactively, with a keen eye for detail and solutionfocussed approach.

Ideally you will have had experience working within a public sector organisation however, experience gained in wider large, fast-paced, organisations is also highly desirable.
