As an Inventory Control Specialist III, you are responsible for overseeing the daily cycle count program for the site and effectively handling all inventory within the 050 Org.
This will include traveling to all off site warehouses that contain this inventory at least once annually to complete a count of the physical inventory and reconcile any discrepancies.
You will follow up on inventory inaccuracies to resolve root cause and gain the appropriate approvals to make system changes to inventory levels.
What will you do?
Problem solve using the problem solving tools e.g. 5-Why, 8D Investigations etc.
Record correct and accurate documentation.
Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement activities.
Understand and poses the ability to work with Oracle for data entry and inventory corrections.
Problem solving and root cause analysis.
Assist with the Operations of the site's inventory held at off site locations.
Acquire monthly approvals from Logan Site Leadership for inventory adjustments being made.
Provide accurate data to members of Finance to fulfill auditing requirements.
Effectively understand and help handle inventory transactions by collaborating with other departments.
Travel to all warehouses to count inventory annually.
Monitor all at risk locations.
Assist with all other inventory related projects as needed.
How will you get here?
Experience
Proficient in all processes regarding Oracle and transaction information into Oracle.
Experienced in all aspects of the assembly operations including equipment.
Understand the basics of business processes including receiving, shipping, logistics, order fulfillment, production support, purchasing, planning, quality, training and master data.
Effectively handling inventory across all warehouse locations.
Working directly with customers
Training other SUT sites within Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.
Participating in Kaizen or Just Do It events
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to perform all required Oracle transaction and use other computer-based operating systems
Proficient at Microsoft Excel
Effectively articulate with leadership and all levels of warehouse and inventory personnel
Ability to communicate in verbal form and written form
Ability to build spreadsheets and graphs for presentations as needed
Ability to run meetings with leadership
Strong attention to detail
Adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Principles
Ability to accurately follow established procedures (Standard Operating Procedures/WID)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Deliver results as a team member in a professional work environment
Self-starter/self-motivated
