Summary

Withnell Fold Primary school is a small village school. We currently have 89 pupils on roll aged between 4 and 11 years. We are looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking individual to join the team at our School. The post is a dual role
- part Site Supervisor and part cleaner. However, being a small school the Site supervisor role is a majority cleaning position. (See Job description).


Duties include the daily opening and locking up of the site, security checks, cleaning and general maintenance and DIY around the site.

Other regular duties would include;

  • All health and safety / compliance checks
  • Undertake the cleaning within the school to ensure that the school maintains a clean and hygienic condition, which meets agreed quality standards
  • External checks of the grounds
  • Keeping the site clean and tidy
  • Coordinating / supervising external contractors and service engineers in the school holidays


The the working hours are 20 hours per week, number of hours per day to be organised with Line Manager prior to each holiday to fit in with contractors, deep clean requirements etc.

Please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
Holidays will not be allowed in term time. The post is term time only plus some additional weeks in school holidays.

Desirable Experience

  • High standards of cleaning and maintenance
  • Experience of undertaking manual tasks e.g. maintenance, DIY Experience of COSSH
  • Experience of using power equipment e.g. Floor buffer
  • Experience of security duties Ability to work on own initiative
