Your responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and adapting teaching materials as required
  • Implement individualized learning plans under the guidance of the SENCo and teaching staff
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students
  • Support students in developing their social, emotional, and behavioural skills
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement effective strategies and interventions
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
  • Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role is desirable
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting students with additional learning needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
  • Knowledge of strategies and resources to support students with diverse learning needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
