greenwellgleeson are exclusively recruiting for a Financial Controller to join an exciting project based in Solihull but also offering hybrid working.

This is a great opportunity to be the Number One in finance and have a real impact on business decisions.


The main function of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the accounts department making sure the monthly management accounts are produced accurately and on time.


Attributes required:

  • Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or QBE would be considered
  • Previous experience of being responsible for monthly management accounts submission
  • Able to communicate clearly with people at all levels, both financial and nonfinancial
  • Have previous experience of budget creation and setting

Responsibilities:


  • Produce accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts
  • Be accountable for cash flow and forecasts
  • Produce annual Budget and maintain rolling 3year financial plan
  • Attend meetings of Trustees
  • Oversee year end audit process and production of Statutory Accounts, in conjunction with the Charity's auditors
  • Bank and investments monthly reconciliations
  • Liaise with payroll bureau on any changes to salaries, starters / leavers etc
  • Continuously monitor and improve the financial and reporting systems to ensure they meet the developing needs of the charity
  • Oversee supplier payments, payments of grant funding etc
  • Ensure timely chasing of debtors and outstanding monies from fundraisers and events
  • Monitor claims against grants awarded by the charity
