South Prom Coffee Shop have a part time position for a Coffee Shop Assistant on a Tuesday and Sunday only.

This role is not available for students as weekday shift is required No evening work is needed

Previous experience especially Barista experience is preferred however full training can be provided. We offer a competitive hourly rate based on experience, a generous share of tips, discounted staff meals, in house mentoring plus the opportunity to undertake a hospitality qualification

Responsibilities:

Great customers, take orders, process orders, make hot drinks
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of food items
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, including wiping down surfaces and cleaning fridges
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
Knowledge of basic food safety practices and procedures
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating order totals
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
